I work out of the house too and yes it does bother me! You are lucky your work seems flexible. Mine isn't and its a big problem. I have back up for days off but surprise 2 hr delays are too. So yes this bothers me.
I still find it amazing that after all of these years dealing with Mo Co's snow policy, people still can't get it together.
I attended Mo Co schools during the 70s and 80s. We NEVER had off - even during some of the worst storms. So we carpooled with some SAHMs who could handle the snow. And if we couldn't get there, we hung out at someone's home if our parents worked.
So stop expecting the system to be your daycare.

I work out of the house too and yes it does bother me! You are lucky your work seems flexible. Mine isn't and its a big problem. I have back up for days off but surprise 2 hr delays are too. So yes this bothers me.
