How about modular homes that have a more contemporary look? Are there any companies that specialize in that?

Am interested in hearing about Parmount and Churilla homes too.

Reviving post - any other suggestions? Has anyone used paramount construction for a modular home?

I'm Ok with that. What types of prices does this run, all inclusive, for a teardown in a close in location?

I got a rough quote from EL builders (my not apply since it was years a go) 2 1/2 stories consisting of approximately 3400 square feet, w/“attic” and finished basement. 9’ ceilings in the basement and first floor, a large deck paved driveway, $10k+ retaining wall, . Upgraded high end finishes: granite counters in the bathrooms and kitchen , hardwood floors throughout, $430K

I also got a rough quote of 305K for the above without a finished basement and no finished attic 2800SF no retaining wall

They quoted me 1 million + without even asking me which plan. I laughed and hung up.

I had a similar quote from them although their houses I've seen are beautiful.

Try Nelson and Nationwide. Both made in VA. My friend got one in McLean. Took a few hours to "install" it on site, and then 2-3 weeks to wait for power and gas hookups.

Pretty cool to watch them intalling the home. It came in 4 pieces (2 truck-lengths for each floor) and then they just took a crane and put them together like a lego.

I was intrigued to see the mention on another thread of a $200k modular home new build in N Arl. I know modular has become high quality and indistinguishable from stick built in some cases. What are the best modular companies?
