My ds has an iep at Waples. We have had a superb experience there. Great school!

Franklin is great. Pretty sure there are AAP kids that choose to go there rather than Carson. Lots of honors classes and great teachers.

FYI - AAP kids at Waples Mill currently go to Hunters Woods ES and Carson MS, rather than Waples Mill and Franklin. That may change down the road.

Franklin and Thoreau are probably similar - smaller MS without AAP centers that still have a lot of smart kids.

We are thinking of buying a home in this school pyramid and wanted to get some thoughts on these school. I have one 2nd grader who may go to AAP next year (qualifies for in pool consideration) and 1 K student who has an IEP and requires speech services, social skill services, and additional weekly pull out for small group instruction. Academically he is ok but really struggles socially. What kind of environment/culture does Waples Mill have? How are the teachers? I am really interested in their special ed team if anyone has any input on that aspect. Also, what school do the AAP kids go to?
Also, how is the middle school compared to others in the area. Where we live now the kids would go to Thoreau/Marshall.
Thanks in advance!
