Same thing for me, low processing speed. No LD or ADHD mentioned, but we weren't testing for that so I didn't ask.

Me again...Yes, she mentioned ADHD-inattentive as a possibility. Am in process of requesting a local screening cmte meeting, as written school work is an issue. The FSIQ was 120 with the low processing and working memory; however, the AAP cmte is aware that kids with 2E usually have excellent Verbal and Perceptual and low in the other areas. Don't submit WISC unless for appeal. IMO.

Thanks for that info. We are considering a full Neuropsych battery-I have an older child with inattentive ADHD and a similar profile of scores. Now on meds and doing pretty well. NP here. My DC had superior scores in two areas of the WISC (152 VCI and 131 PRI) and had "average" WMI (107) and PSI (100) scores. This resulted in a FSIQ of 133. The WISC was done as part of an evaluation for ADHD. Our psychologist (at Children's) also did the WIAT-II and the reading and math scores were very high. The psychologist did more assessments and concluded with an ADHD diagnosis.

Had the WISC done at GMU. I know some people complain that the testers are grad students, but our experience was great. We had a woman who was on her last semester to get her phd and had alot of experience. I would ask for one of the more senior testers when you make your appointment.

Yes I am. DC had very superior scores on all 4 parts of WISC with processing speed above 145. Hit a bunch of ceilings on WISC so GMU recommended that we might want to retest him at a later date with another WISC that used some extended norms that got up to really high IQs. But we never followed up with that.

I would wait to find out the GBRS before you do the WISC. If the GBRS is good, don't think you'll need the WISC.
