It's ramen at our house, but when we lived in Arlington I used to always get soup from Thai Square.

We are all sick with horrible colds right now. I have crock pot chicken and dumplings cooking for supper.

I like hot stuff too - spicy mustard, wasabi, peppers. I crave grapefruit juice with colds, but never otherwise. And lemon tisanes.

Hot things-stove hot and/or spicy hot (preferably both). Spicy soups or noodle dishes are my favorite.

boil lots of ginger and 2 litres of water for a long time and you're left with half the water as before, then add two medium sized lemons squeezed and a about 4 large spoonfulls of manuka honey or other good quality honey and I feel better by the cup. I make it a few times a day and drink constantly until it is gone.

OP here--re the wonton, pho and miso people, do you make it yourself or buy it in a package/can from a store, or order it from a restaurant?

Homemade chicken noodle. My husband makes it. Hot lemon water with a whiskey hit.

Remember, feed a cold, starve a fever.

Wonton soup. When I have a cold I pretty much subsist on wonton soup and cereal. Maybe orange juice if my throat is sore enough.

Chicken soup.

Costco sells a fabulous homemade style Chicken soup during the cold season in the deli section.

Just curious! I've got a head cold and am sipping my tea with sugar and milk now. Would normally also go for toast/butter/raspberry jam but am cutting the breads down these days. But when sick, it seems like my go-to food/drink is reminiscent of my childhood, and my dad used to make me this (not when I was sick, just in general)

Wondering what is comfort food for you? And why?
