Yes, my daughter has been seen by Dev Peds since she was a few weeks old. I know ours have seen other infants.

My Child was seen at Kennedy Krieger as well as Childrens National at around 18 months. Actually you will be in the priority list if the child is below 2 yrs. This is what they told me at Kennedy Krieger (They are trying to collect some research data for kids < 2 yrs).

My child was first seen by a developmental pediatrian at about 11 months. Then every 6 months since then. He is age 6.5 now.

A developmental pediatrician can definitely see a toddler, even a baby. It's good that you've identified the issues early.

I don't see any reason for you not to get your son on a doctor's radar now. If the doctor you call doesn't take patients that young, they will let you know.

My son is currently only 14 month's old and has been seen for an evaluation through Infant Toddler in Fairfax and we have already started therapy. My son seems to have some motor planning issues and a global delay. They recommended that I see a developmental pediatrician and should get on the wait list now, as it can take 4 to 6 months. I have been reading a lot on this forum about the different doctors and it seems most of the children being seen by these doctors are older. Can anyone advise if they had their child seen between the ages of 16-20 months, or do most doctor's in this area not evaluate younger children?
