Our private school starts teaching the kids about MLK in PK. They made a pretty big deal about him last Friday.

I stand corrected. It must just be the schools we have been involved with. Lost opportunity for a lot of kids at these particular schools.

My kindergartener learned about MLK in the fall when they studied american leaders. I don't think they did anything additional this last week before MLK Day.

My kids have had lessons re. MLK since Kindergarten.

OP here. Glad this is being taught in some schools. I wonder why the two schools we have had experience with in MCPS have not broken stride from teaching their curricula to bring in any discussion or teaching about MLK.

My child was taught about it in kindergarten and now in first, they talked about it too. He is obsessed with MLK and Abraham Lincoln. That discuss it all in my montgomery county school.
