Got an email today that the raise will show up in Feb 4th paycheck.

Yes, this has been me the last few years. In the step area where it's 3 years between steps. So this is the first increase I've seen in years, though it also coincides with finally getting to a new step for me.

You could get promoted along the existing pay scale but the rates on the payscale didn't change. For me, wasn't a bad deal - I went from a GS-9 to a GS-13 so my salary has increased a lot, but if you were a GS-15, high up in the steps already then yes, your salary didn't change in the past few years. Also a bad deal for those already at the top of their promotion ladder and not able to find an opening at the next level - I'll probably find myself in that situation in a year or so.

You could go up in steps, but within each step there was no increase.

BTW, this is on your base salary, not the salary + location pay. IOW, I'll probably get <$20 after taxes a pay period!

There was no cost of living increase

Did you guys get a cost of living increase too?

It's not slated to show up until the last paycheck in January. I think it's the 31st if GSA does your payroll.

Next paycheck I think? Last paycheck was for the pay period ending december 28.

Does anyone happen to know the details on the pay increase? Such as when it would show up on a paycheck and whether it applies to agencies that are not on the GS scale. I know it doesn't apply to congress and to wage grade blue collar workers but I can't seem to get a clear answer otherwise. Just curious really!
