I am a current Harbor parent. Dr. Wise is amazing, and is a big factor that led to us sending our children to Harbor. She will be missed, but she has a great opportunity at NCRC. Search for a new head is ongoing, though I don't know any specifics. I expect they will announce someone by spring. There is a good deal of turnover among independent school heads recently. Norwood has a new head of school coming next year, among others.

Incidentally, the school didn't replace her. She became the new Head of School at NCRC.

The former head, Val Wise, was absolutely amazing. No word on a new head yet...really don't see anyone currently there taking the spot. She practically single-handedly turned Harbor in into a great school, so the bar for the new person is pretty high.

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the new leadership at Harbor. I know some people had issues with the prior Head, and others had commented that they've just replaced the head. Any parents there who can comment on whether it's a positive change? I'm looking at it for both K and also preschool. Thanks.
