You post this every time there is a Landon thread. You really need to get a life.

It is undeniable that there is something in that culture that attracts/breeds bad behavior. For every great kid there, there are three punks.

We are a lower school family - and we really enjoy it. My son really loves it as well - and he is not super athletic but loves the art program! Landon is working hard to get a good group of boys - so don't think you have to be "someone" or have a super athlete to get in - not the case at all.

I don't know many boys who aren't accepted. Families who love it really love it, however

I believe the school just completed a $45 million capital campaign so I assume the finances should be solid. I could be wrong.

The school has always recruited for sports - that is nothing new.

I didn't write the post about the declining enrollment but I have heard it is accurate at least for the middle school. The school's overall finances are fine. All schools pay attention to enrollment and make changes to their marketing/admissions outreach if they think they need to -- that is the norm. There's an ebb and a flow to these things, and Landon has to deal with the fairly strong alternative of Montgomery County.

I am sure you won't have any problem at all. You could basically just sign your son up.

Landon is experiencing declining enrollment. Many other options, particularly for HS kids. Landon sports is recruiting harder than ever before.

Parents are very nice. No worries.

Are the parents friendly in the lower school? The OSS we have met seem so, but we are wind ering more about the culture of those with first hand knowledge.

Don't undersell yourself, you have a great chance if your son is a good student. Being a normal non-stand out family is just fine!

You have a great chance. I think their application numbers have been a bit down in past years so this is an excellent time to apply.
