I've always loved Otto. Also like Supper, Frank's, and Little Frankie's--all by the same owner in the East Village. Also, not to be confused with the others is Frankie's 457 on the Lower East Side.

Don Antonio pizza in Midtown is really good. But my favorite place is Pure Thai Cookhouse. It's not dressy but so, so good.

Jean Georges, at Columbus Circle. Get the prix fix lunch or dinner. Jeans and a blazer work fine. Many will be dressed better than you, some way worse.

What are your favorite restaurants in NYC? Can you recommend one that a couple could go to for a nice dinner--dressed nicely, but still dressed in jeans? Not super expensive obviously, but a good meal you may not be able to get in DC?
