You can consider day camp child care as long as your child is less than 13 and it allows both spouses to work. Sleep over camp is excluded.

It shouldn't be. IRS regs for dependent care require the child actually complete the care before you can get reimbursed. I get all my money back in September, after camp is over.

My kids are also in after care which I just pay monthly. So the reimbursement that I get is really for the after care that has already been paid for and completed. But since I can pay after care monthly, this is just an easier way for me to budget.

Are we supposed to put summer camp down when we fill out our taxes? I put before/after care down but I don't know about summer camp.

I don't see any that we're looking at have an early payment discount, Rockville, Sportsplex, karate, MoCo. am I missing something?

Our FSA is used with day care.

Depends. We did a few weeks at Calleva last year, there was a deposit up front and the rest due in April I think....

Some do some do t. I've always gotten a discount for early payment so I use that option.

So we put together our camp schedule (7 year old, 2 WOH parents). I didn't put together until right now, are we about to shell out $2k right now as we register? Do camps take the full payment upfront?

We'll be doing a few weeks at several places, so it's not like we're enrolling him at one spot for the summer.
