Just get regular furniture. It does not have to be "kids."

I mean land of nod hasn't been around for that long.

OP here. Thanks for the suggestions! We have a Stanley furniture young America set that hasn't aged well. My PBK furniture has held up better.

Visit Belfort furniture in Dulles and look at the Stanley Young America furniture. It is solid wood, beautiful, and all made in the USA. There may be other furniture stores in the area that sell it, but Belfort has a lot of it on the store floor if you want to see it before buying.

You might be thinking of Pottery Barn kids.

We got adult furniture from Sears. Queen size beds with night table, tall boy and wife mirror dresser, kids were two yrs old each.
They are now 14 and 12 and it's held up.
But it's dinged up.

Get adult furniture, then they will like it as teens.

Ethan Allen American Impressions. But they discontinued that line and I heard the newer stuff is not as well made.

Our kids' furniture from the Land of Nod is still being used by their younger cousins -- 15-20 years after we purchased it.

We just got regular furniture, not kid specific. We got a Bassett dresser on clearance and its still looks like new 4 years later. Love it.

I would appreciate suggestions from people whose kids' furniture has held up for at least 6-8 years. Specific brands and vendors would be tremendously helpful. Thanks!
