I'm not condoning what the teacher allegedly did because it was not the best decision to make. However, did the child assault the teacher or another student? Did the teacher have to utilize force to protect him or herself or other students from getting hurt? I would like to learn more about this matter before I jump to a conclusion. Sometimes you don't know what to do when you encounter a severely violent student in the classroom. Do you A. wait until security and school administrators come into the classroom in the meantime this student is hurting you or another student or B. Protect yourself and other students from the violent student? You're damn if you do and damn if you don't. If a teacher does nothing and the child hurts another student or the teacher, then you still have a problem on your hands. The teacher can't win in this situation.
