We almost bought a house in that neighborhood several years ago, but decided to buy a bit closer to DC. From the time we spent visiting the neighborhood and walking around (it's close to the park, library and community center), we did not pick up on any obvious issues with the neighbors. It seemed like other neighborhoods in McLean, Falls Church and Arlington that are a mix of older and newer homes.

Secondly, it's right near an awkward stop sign at lewinsville and brook rd, so there's always some sort of a hangup on the road that slows traffic. Lastly, check out the build quality of the home. It's an ok price, but it went up soooo fast that I couldn't help but think some corners were cut. Good luck

OP here. Actually saw this house. It is directly across the street from the elementary school so that wasn't very appealing to us but appreciate the suggestion!

That house has a septic tank versus properties a little further east have public sewer. Can you build a pool? Are there sidewalks? Its a great area in general but I'm not sure I'd want to be right on the main road for $2 million. Lewinsville is busy right there since it backs up with people turning onto Leesburg Pike, and you may get some road noise from Route 7 too.

It's a busy road, but still residential and certainly no more crowded than many streets in Arlington like Williamsburg, George Mason, Yorktown Boulevard, etc.

LOTS of traffic on Lewinsville during rush hour. Look at the address on a map and you will see that it is the only cut through to route seven above the Dulles Access Road. Also, the house is positions very close (east of) to the only ingress egress to the "McLean 100" which means people either turning out in front of you or trying to get in. It's a very busy road and will only get busier as Tysons continues to explode. If serious about this house, check county plans for widening of Lewinsville before putting in an offer. I don't have any inside info but the Tysons area is so clogged, I would expect widening of all roads where possible over the next ten years.

At your pricepoint there are quite a few other new homes in mclean check it out
