We do Spanish every summer at WIS, and love it!

Has anyone tried Sunshine Academy? I know it's more academic/summer school-ish than camp-ish, but we are looking at it for our rising 1st grader. . .

Just FYI, I called Beauvoir & their language camp is only offering Chinese this year.

We signed up for Beauvoir's morning chinese program last year, but they cancelled it before camp started. This year they have a new global languages program (full day & includes swimming), but so far no word on which languages they'll offer, and I think it's only for rising 1st & 2nd graders.

Since this year's language program is new, I can't speak to that, but I can say we really liked Beauvoir's program in general -- they really know what they're doing, it's a very well-organized program.

Sorry - I don't have any information but just thought this was such a coincidence because I happen to be researching Chinese camps for our 4 and 6 yr olds in the NoVa area right now. So far, I have looked at Language Stars, WIS, Beauvoir but would be interested in hearing about others or any personal experiences with those.

We were looking at Washington International School for Chinese language immersion camp for our 5 yo. But the reviews on these boards don't look great. Wondering if anyone has any recent experiences to confirm the chaotic drop off or new information from 2012 or 2013?

Any recommendation for another summer language/culture camp for Chinese for young elementary? Something with some swimming would be great! Northern VA, DC preferred. Thanks!
