Subject: Looking for a good therapist on or near Hill
I have some experience with Reis and have nothing negative to say about her.

Thank you for both of these answers. Wondering if anyone has personal experience with either of these people? Barbara Brown isn't well reviewed, but Reis seems promising. I meant to say that a LCSW is also fine. I just need some help getting through a tough period.

Not a whole lot of therapists on the Hill. Another possibility - Diane Reis, Psy.D. She doesn't take insurance but you can submit out of network and get some reimbursement unless you have an HMO with CareFirst.

You might try Dr. Barbara Brown. She's in a practice called something like Capitol Consortium and I think she takes BCBS.

I would love to know the answer to this myself.

In the same boat but I have no idea who you could use. My doctor suggested some social worker, but it did not feel like the right fit.

Hi -- I am looking for a therapist somewhere near the Hill for basic issues, ie, no extreme specialization required, just the usual (crumbling marriage, messed-up finances). Is there anyone reputable in the area? We have BCBS Carefirst
