I posted this back in June and still love our banister:
We had this done about a year ago and had an excellent experience with HR stairs and rails. Hooshang was a pleasure to work with and we couldn't be happier with the banister. It cost $1350 for our project but cost totally depends on the size of your banister and what you want him to build.
Just FYI, he doesn't stain and seal, so you'll have to hire out for that or do it yourself.

I have 2 old school handrails and a small Bannister that needs to be replaced. I would want them replaced with a more modern looking wood style. What is the cheapest way to do this? Buy the supplies and have a carpenter do the install? Do you have any recs...I live in moco.
