I live in the neighborhood, and am a former maps teacher. My kids aren't school age yet, but I can speak to the cluster a bit. The main thing ill find in this cluster is neighborhood kids, and not a lot of crazy hyper competitiveness. Good, solid mcps schools, not nutty in either direction.

We're in the Rockville cluster. I have no direct experience (yet) with the high school, but have heard good things about it. My DD's classmate has a brother at RHS and she says it's been great. Another classmate had two siblings who did the IB program and also said it was good.

I believe it's the smallest high school in MoCo?

Sorry I can't really give any first hand experience, but I'm optimistic based on what I've heard from neighbors and other parents!

OP here - Rockville HS actually has a new IB program for engineering and technology that started in 2007. I only know this from being on their website, but it's definitely sparked my curiosity.

I didn't realize Rockville HS had IB. Do you mean Richard Montgomery HS? (Or maybe I'm just behind the times).

Any feedback on this school? We're interested in the Rockville HS cluster and are hoping that people can share some experiences, especially about the high school. I've checked all the stats, but I'm interested in information I can't gleam from the MCPS website. Thanks!
