A friend who was in this situation once made the comment that, as the adoption process was longer and had more ups/ downs than did her pregnancy, it actually made her feel MORE initial love, gratitude, etc. for her second child, when she finally arrived.

For families that experienced secondary infertility and went on to adopt a child, is the love you feel for your adopted child(ren) the same as the love you feel for your genetic offspring? Is the love as strong? Do you think your kids feel equally loved?
