I would also look into dr annunziata at commonwealth ortho. He has a great reputation and is known to be one of the best. And he is so so kind.

Lefton at commonwealth orthopedics did both of my mom's knees.

OP - looks like there is a call to commonwealth in your future! Had DCUM ever agreed on anything!?

Aguier at Commonwealth Orthopedics did my mom's knee surgery, and has dealt with my knees for years. He's excellent.

Know a great hand doc -- Dr. Scott at Commonwealth Orthopedics in the Fairfax (Merrifield) office. He was fabulous with my dad.
