I can personally vouch for excellent sushi at Sweet Ginger, just down 123 on the Tysons-side outskirts of Vienna. Best spicy tuna roll. (And slightly closer to Tysons than Yama, which is fine but not GREAT.)

Wasabi in the mall (Tysons I) is fine, too.

Yama is less formal than Tachibana.

Konami still is closed.

We used to go to Konami a lot but it closed down - originally it seemed like a temporary closure but I think it's still closed. Tachibana in McLean wouldn't be too far. Or you could do the conveyer belt place in the middle of Tysons Corner.

Sakura is good but their focus is the hibachi grill, not sushi.

If you're trying to avoid the mall area, Sakura on Rt. 7 is popular. It's in a strip mall apart from Tysons I and the Galleria

Any suggestions? We live in Md but are heading to Tyson's Corner and are in the mood for sushi.
