I think the food at Seasons 52 is great and can be kid friendly. Good choice!

OP again. Thanks all. I made a reservation at Seasons 52. I've been there a couple times and liked it, DH hasn't ever been there. We'll bring snacks for DS but he usually just eats off our plates (he's not a huge dinner eater anyhow).

I think it'll be perfect just to get out of the house and feel like we're doing SOMETHING before we come home, put DS to bed and get in sweats to watch football.

10:29 had some good ideas - I like M&S and Legal, and both are pretty kid-friendly. You could also do Coastal Flats in Tysons - I love that place, though they do call-ahead seating and not reservations. Anyone who is celebrating NYE with a very early dinner is probably not going to mind kids around. The later reservations will expect no kids.

Ha. If you are all about "NYE Dinner" you are not out at 5!

I almost always have to work until at least 5-6 on NYE (finance).

I don't know how kid-friendly the Seasons 52 menu is.

McCormick & Schmick's & Legal Sea Food have lots of openings (Tysons area) tonight. Seasons 52 is great (wish I could go more often).

(Don't know about Vino Volo, sorry.)

OP here - thanks. I was actually considering Seasons 52. Doesn't look like Wildfire has availability, and I don't love Lebanese Taverna or Sandia. How is Vino Volo?

Nah, we have about 14 hours left! Don't be a hater. In our sad little lives, DCUM humor is all some of us have.

McDonalds, Burger King. Pizza Hut and all other fast food, drive throughs. It's NYE and nobody wants kids spoiling their over prived dinner.

Call around. You may not have many choices. A lot of places are full even at that time.

We were out of town and didn't make any plans for tonight. I'm happy to count down to new years at home but I thought it would be nice to have an early dinner out. Somewhere celebratory but where we could also take a 2 year old. We'll go around 5:30 so I kind of think anywhere is fine with him.

Any suggestions in Fairfax, Falls Church, Vienna, Tysons area? I was thinking someplace like Bazins but it doesn't look like they have availability (and it looks like they have seatings so I'm not sure it would be the best bet with a kid.). Am I SOL for waiting til the last minute or can I still find a nice spot for an early dinner?

thanks in advance.
