Too late for OP probably but...

Roast duck or goose with wild rice, steamed green beans w/butter and almond slivers.

An assortment of snacks for later.

What about 2-3 kinds of soup. One chili, one vegetarian. Can do one in a crockpot. Guests can use mugs to eat out of (don't have to match). Green salad and crusty bread on the side.

Ham, black eyed peas and collard greens then you have leftovers New Years Day and good luck for the coming year.

Rack of Lamb. Wilted spinach. Garlic mashed potatoes. Zinfandel or Syrah. Molten chocolate lava cakes.

Standing rib roast. Expensive cabernet.

This isn't hard to do in a day; you just need good vendors and some wallet. Bonus points if you can whip up your own chocolate mousse. Serve it in champagne flutes.

I am so tapped out. What are some ideas for tomorrow night? I would ideally do a fish stew, but one of the guests doesn't eat seafood.
