Land of Nod has a set of four metal signs. Very cute and still relevant to my 7 yr old.

I know that you want framed art, but just in case you are willing to consider wall murals, go to http://www.wallmonkeys.com/

They are peel and stick vinyl and can be pulled and reapplied. We have a large (72 x 48) wall mural of hot air balloons and rainbows on our toddler twins bedroom wall. Most can be one of about 8-9 sizes from 18x12 up to the 72x48 size that we have. And they are reasonably priced. For just this theme, we had hundreds to choose from. You'll find many, many options for what you want there.

I got great drawings of vintage airplanes for $1 each at the College Park Aviation Museum about 2 years ago--framed them myself and they look awesome!

This looks fun:

A framed map is easy.

Air & Space, Udvar Hazy, or College Park Aviation will probably have some fun posters. You could go for a visit then let him pick something.

Check out IKEA. They sometimes have cute and cheap wall art.

I second the recommendation for Etsy. I find tons of stuff there through Pinterest.

I used to know a transportation think tank guy. He decorated his house with maps of subway systems.

We're moving my toddler out of the nursery into his "big boy room". I've already decorated with bi-plane decals on two walls and a play rug with roads and buildings. I'd like to find some transportation themed wall art - something to be framed. I'd like to find something that's not too baby (good for toddler through elementary school) yet not photos or something super realistic. Do you have any recommendations? I’ve been combing the web, but there’s just too much out there!
