CPAP is far from sexy but I'm thrilled he finally got one - finally a peaceful night's rest for me!

pp here - if after a heartfelt talk he won't take action on his own - set up the sleep study on your own, take him and look forward to getting this taken care of.

Sleep study for sure!

My husband's snoring was epic, and after being married for 10 years, I couldn't take it anymore - it was ruining our marriage, and my relationship with my children because I was so damn tired and annoyed every day. When I finally broke down in tears asking him to figure it the fuck out before I lost my mind, he immediately set up a sleep study (I think he felt I was exaggerating at first since I'm a light sleeper, but he's a sweet man and took me seriously once I made it clear it was more than just light sleeping, thankfully).
Turns out an old college football injury resulted in a deviated septum which was the cause behind the crazy loud snoring!
He had surgery a couple weeks later - easy recovery and aside from a night here and there usually due to a couple glasses of Scotch, or a bad cold, - it has been BLISS. This was about 3 years ago. We would at the very least be in separate bedrooms at this point had he not had it checked out. It was a game changer for us. I hope you can speak to your husband and encourage some type of action to get this taken of care soon.

Good luck!

I nudged my snoring DH too hard recently -- really was an accident! -- and knocked the poor guy onto the floor.

I've been sleeping with ear buds and white noise from my iPhone. I feel your pain OP

I took a video of my husband on the Iphone to show him how bad it is. He didn't get it until then.

Revenge is the only real solution. Next time he wakes you up with his snoring and every time he wakes you up with his snoring you need to pee in the bed. One of two things will happen. Either he'll curtail his snoring to avoid waking up in your urine or he'll take his loud ass to another room to sleep granting you the peace and serenity you desire.

the funny thing is, he isn't. Maybe he could lose 10 pounds or so, but definitely not obese, and you wouldn't say by looking at him with clothing on that he needs to lose weight.

I agree with the others. If he won't go, tell him you don't think he's safe to drive.

We had to threaten a family member with trying to get his license revoked to get him to use the CPAP.

As a CPAP user +3. I had no idea what a good night's sleepwalk as until I got one. But I was resistant to get one because I didn't want to do the sleep study. I did my first sleep study at Suburban hospital and it was a disaster, the room was dreary, the doctor was dismissive, the attendants were not very helpful. My experience at the Center for Wake and Sleep Disorders in Chevy Chase was much, much better on all fronts.

I can't take it. My kids can't take it. And my DH always "forgets" to mention it to his dr. Do I email the dr and ask him what can be done? I've slept in my DD's room way too much this year, and I want my bed back!!!!
