I just flew my puking kid across the coast. She puked in the airport and on the plane, but once we reached our destination was fine.

And if they're too little for gum and are potentially congested, be sure to take gummy bears or jelly beans - our pediatrician suggested it and it was a lifesaver for us. DD used to scream during landing, but now I hand the packet over when we have enough of a descent that she gets the look on her face that something's starting and she's fine.

Movies -- DVD player, iPad, Kindle, etc. Now is the time to pull the plug on any electronic limits and make life easier for you, your kids, and everyone around you. Also, planes serve alcohol. Cheers.

Oh, please.

I'm sure it's nice for you to have enough money to cancel and reschedule flights for an entire family over the common cold. Not everyone has that kind of money.

Did you read the post--NO fever, NO vomiting. They're whining. Would you cancel a flight if your kids were whining and feeling bad the day before?

bring lots of clorox wipes and wipe down everything they touched before you get off the plane. I would also wipe everything down before they sit so they don't pick up different germs from the last person's sick kids.

Bring lots of tissues and make sure they have gum or something to help with the pressure. I got sick on a cruise and had no choice but to fly home sick. It sucked but it was a direct flight. I'd give them some Tylenol or something before the flight too.

Are you for real? If every single person who was a little bit sick cancelled their trips, no one would ever travel. This is highly unrealistic.

I hope your kids bounce back quick. Stuff happens. If they are really sick I would stay home.

Me too. Glad I won't be on a plane.

We're flying cross country tomorrow and both kids are sick. Nothing serious -- no fever or throwing up -- but they both feel crappy and whiny. It's going to be fun.
