Online banking is great, but the "register" component -- correct me if I've been DOIN IT WRONG for 20 years or so -- seems sorely lacking.

I still use the Quicken software to actually keep track of my accounts in a way that allows me to see a true register where future transactions, and not just those scheduled and/or posted, are reflected.

Sorry, OP here. I think I misled folks. I have electronic banking, but I still use a paper check register to record when I write a check. I need to keep track -- balancing the checkbook. I'm looking for an app for that. The App Store has several to choose from. I'll pick one and see how it goes.

Whatever you do, DON'T get Bank of America. Worst customer service on the planet. It really depends on what is most convenient for you. My grandparents use Chase. My parents, SunTrust. Myself, Wells Fargo.

Just about every bank in the United States offers this. Take your pick!

Don't laugh, but I still use a printed check register to record my checks and deposits into my checking account and keep it balanced. I'm ready to move digital. Ideally there would be something that I could schedule deposits that happen automatically, also automatic withdrawals. Any suggestions? I have a mint account but rarely use it. Does that have a digital check register app? I use an iPhone, so that would be best platform.
Thanks.
