He's actually one of the dumbest people I've ever seen on TV. Watched a few episodes of Celebrity Rehab and came to the conclusion that he's a total idiot.

OP--if you have not read "Escape from Camp 14" by this author, it is RIVETING. These people have been born into the camps and have no idea they are in a camp. They have never heard of South Korea or China, much less the U.S. They've never heard of money. This guy is the only person born there who ever got out. He did so because he was put in solitary confinement with a political prisoner who told him about the outside world, and they planned their escape together.

After reading this book, I am very interested in N. Korea. I don't know what we can do about it. I hope Rodman is some CIA agent, or has a larger humanitarian agenda--because if he is as he appears, he's wretched.

I can't help but think there's much more to this story than the callousness and hubris he displays by hanging out with a dictator.
