My PT has said pelvic pain (either front or back) is extremely common in pregnancy b/c ligaments holding the pelvic area together get very loose. My issue is primarily due to weak muscles in sacro-iliac area and in glutes that couldn't compensate when the bones started to get loosened up.

I definitely recommend PT at least to get a good set of core & glute exercises. I was having shooting pains every time I lay on my back or bent over. With PT my pain decreased to manageable, low level almost immediately and has pretty much plateau'd there.

There is also a book that is highly recommended by some, Relieving Pelvic Pain During and After Pregnancy by Cecile Rost. I haven't gotten it yet.

I feel meh - tired and sporactic but debilitating pelvic pain. No appetite at all!
We're having our 2nd Girl and we finally have a name after many rounds of negotiation.

I'm mostly in denial about this one coming - I feel like we don't need to do much or buy much but I know the time will come when I freak out and everything will need to be ready now!

I'm almost 24 weeks along with our first. After going through unexpected IVF (how often do you hear of that?) the pregnancy's been pretty easy. I've had the usual symptoms, but just enough to knw that things are happening and not enough to cause any concern.

We are delivering at Sibley and are waiting until bday to find out the gender (although I've looked most of the old wife's tales on this to see if I can correctly predict it). Still figuring out names. Would love to hear your boy name ideas!

How are you feeling? Good! Only had mild nausea in 1st trimester
Getting around okay? A couple weeks ago it started to become painful to walk...throbbing/aching pain in my pubic bone area. My midwife brushed it off...anyone else experiencing this? Doing other exercises like stairmaster, light weight lifting are pain free.
Do you know what you're having (boy, girl, singleton)? First child? first child and it's a boy!

I'm due April 9 with our first, a girl.

At 24 weeks I'm feeling fine, lucky to have had no sickness, fatigue etc. so far. I got really crippling lower back/pelvic pain early on (~ 6 weeks!) but some rigorous PT has gotten that under control. Keeps me from any real exercising though, which is disappointing.

We are narrowing in on first names, middle name (Sophie) was easy as I have a naming tradition in my family that pretty much established it from the get-go.

Yay, a birth club thread I can post in!! I'm around 22 weeks with a boy (my second). No name yet. I'm a bit tired, but that may just be due to the craziness that is the holidays. I'll be hosting my inlaws for a week next week, and that'll be a lot of cooking for me!! Looking forward to it though.

Just bought a huge amount of maternity clothes -- my first one was in the summer, so I didn't have anything that could carry over. I'm planning for this to be my last pregnancy, and I wanted to do it in style! Part of me thinks its a waste, but the other part wants to enjoy every moment of this one.

25 weeks. 5th baby. (mine are spread out- 17 months-18 years!) Feeling good other than some ligament pain I didn't experience in my 20's. Gained 35 lbs already!!!! Not cool. But I could've standed to put on 10 when I started. Still getting around good and walking a lot and do weight machines at the gym and yoga dvd's. We are also keeping the sex a surprise! We have a girl name from the last pregnancy but no boy name yet! Delivering at Calvert Memorial. They were awesome in 2012 with the last one.

PP here (09:22). I delivered our first at VHC and LOVED it.

I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow. First baby, a girl, following 6+ years of infertility so we are still pinching ourselves and can't believe it. Almost certain of the first name and still working on the middle name. I will be delivering at VHC. Had terrible nausea until about week 17 and was relieved when that dissipated and I could enjoy eating again. Now I have a bad cold but other than that have been feeling really good.

I'm just past 22 weeks, and luckily feeling well overall. Sometimes a bit of pain at the hip on one leg. We are having a girl, our first. I think delivering at Shady Grove.

I'm 24 weeks pregnant with my third.
I feel weeks ahead of where I was symptom-wise with my other two pregnancies. The bone-tiring fatigue is starting back up, I have insomnia, heartburn is out of this world, I feel SO heavy etc. But overall I'm feeling great and very excited.
We are keeping the sex a surprise and are just now starting a list of names - I'm surprised at how few carry overs there are from last time around.
We recently moved to New England so I'll be delivering at a small hospital here. FWIW I delivered my second at Georgetown and had a good experience there.

This is my second, and I'm 25 weeks this weekend. Having a boy. Yes, we have a name. I feel good. My first pregnancy was very easy also, so I think I just have easy pregnancies. Delivery, however, is another matter....

I am 21 weeks and have had diarrhea the last few days, which has made life miserable, but otherwise everything is good. Having a girl and this is our second. Delivering at Holy Cross.

We have the beginning of a name, just initials really.

This will be my third.
I am ~ 22 weeks now and still feeling pretty lousy. You'd think I would be cool with it by now (third pregnancy), but I am tired of being pregnant. Vomiting sucks, but also, I am just starting to feel found ligament pain and fatigue from carrying the weight.
Otherwise, I am excited for my third girl and want to go ahead and meet this baby!
