A few slices of Velveeta with some good salsa, put it in the microwave until it's melted. Yum, queso.

I'll second this. I've tried just about every brand of queso dip I've seen in a store, and none is as good as this one. Right texture, right spice level... Love it! Wish I had some right now.

Blech. Newman's Own for the win!

As much as I like what Paul Newman did and what his charities do, that stuff has a bitter, unpleasant aftertaste. Tostitos is probably mostly plastic, but it beats the pants off Newman's Own.

Inspired by this thread and a love of queso, my family decided to do a little taste test between Newman's Own, Tostitos, and the classic Velveeta/Rotel.

We standardized. Just chips and queso.

While all were better than respectable, and we have old school love for good spice and Rotel, the clear winner was the Tostitos.

YMMV.

Nah, I think the Newman's Own poster is a little full of his or her own opinion.

Go with the crack-addicted crowd, I mean the Tostitos.

PP here. Maybe I should give Newman's another try.

I'm a PP who loves Tostitos queso. I have done the Rotel + Velveeta, and have to say I didn't love it. I like both of those things separately (as hard as it is it to admit I like Velveeta) but together... not so much. I found it a bit too salty, ironically.

This stuff is a CRACK-HEROIN-METH combo. It's so incredibly bad for you but I dare you to stop eating it before the jar is empty.
