We received a very nice, personal note in our ACCEPTANCE letter, that let us know what our son enjoyed during the playdate and what they enjoyed about him. But we were already accepted by that point, they were just trying to tip the balance for us to say "yes"... and we did! It was a very thoughtful note, but before that we received no nod or information from any school at all.

We have not heard from either of those schools, though we have not had the ACDS visit yet.

Not the PP who received feedback, but like that PP said, things could change year-to-year. What ACDS and SSSA did a few years ago may not be the same thing they do now. That could have even been a pilot year for giving feedback and they ultimately decided not to carry it forward.

Thanks for the info. Was your DD ultimately accepted after receiving the feedback? I'm a new poster to this thread, but now I am getting nervous that no news is bad news four my DD.

PP again. They certainly didn't look like a report card or assessment. More like a look at how much she enjoyed the day with some personal information about the child. You have to remember this is marketing not a testing. And yes even selective schools are marketing their program. It is just done in a way that doesn't look like it. The acceptance letters and videos are fantastic and also another round of marketing. Of course they want the families they select to choose them as well. Not sure which school you are interested in but both are really good.

Admission people change and they might do things in a different way after a few years. I think it was during the Christmas holidays but it has been two years and do not really remember. It was simply notes and or pictures about what a good time she had with a little follow up about what she enjoyed etc. Don't read anything into it if you have not heard but I remember them being very sweet.

Really? Any memory of how long after the visit you heard from them? We haven't heard a word.

We did 5 playdates for Kindergarten and got no substantive feedback from any of them.

Lack of response on this thread makes me believe this to be a rumor. Someone would have piped up by now that their school is the awesome one that does this.

Why would they do this? Never heard of it.

I have never heard of this. Seems like it would be a lot of work for the school without much benefit for them.

On another thread, someone noted that some schools send feedback - even pictures - following the school visit. Anyone know which schools do this?
