My dog just got diagnosed with kennel cough (and he was vaccinated). He was only there for less than 48 hours. I think this facility is going down-hill.

I used to use Greenbriar all the time and they were great. Then they changed management and the quality of care went downhill. The last time I used them was last year at this time. We were away for 4 days. I don't know if they had limited staff because of the holidays, or what, but when I picked up my dogs they were both hoarse from barking and had kennel cough. My older dog, who had a heart condition, wound up with a persistent cough that turned into pneumonia (that part obviously could have happened anyway but I was always a bit resentful about it). My younger dog, who can be a little anxious sometimes, had licked a raw spot open on her paw. You may ask, why did I bring these two dogs who sound like they have special needs to a boarding facility rather than keep them with me? The answer is that they'd both done fine there before, no issues or illness or anxiety, and I was comforted by the fact that there is an emergency vet on premises. We stopped using them after that last incident. We now go to Pet Dominion in Gaithersburg.

Anyone have any experience boarding their dog at either of these facilities?
