But Mac & cheese is the easy one most kids will eat. And fruit for both adults and kids.

If you have foods that both the adults and kids love, why don't you just serve that?

The problem with kid food is that it's usually good and adults want it too. I try to avoid this by making the kid food very obviously kid food. I'd do a small table with colorful bowls of individually packaged goldfish, Annie's bunnies, raisin boxes, clementines, string cheese, yogurts, juice boxes (the smallest available and preferably the water-based ones like Honest Kids) and waters, a small tray of chik fil a nuggets/sauces, and a platter of kid friendly fruits and veggies.
