I go to Results, which is a couple blocks away, and I think you would feel comfortable there. I do and I am no gym rat.

What about results down there. That was my fav back when. We lived near u street. Now in burbs w kids.

This is my gym. I like it, but I rarely go for classes so I can't speak to that. The split of gym goers is 50/50 male and female I would say. I am usually using the machines, but occasionally venture to the other floors to use free weights and other equipment. Up there it is mostly guys, but things are broken out into smaller rooms so its not intimidating at all. Also, there are all body types at this gym. I would say worth the price! One thing to note is that they are remodeling right now, so if you go for a visit you'll notice that theres new paint, floorboards, etc. everywhere, and thats been a bit of a (minor) inconvenience.

If you are a member, how do you like it? Worth the cost? Is it meat-market like? Or no-nonsense, get your workout on and leave? Reviews on the classes? I am a total workout beginner and quite out of shape and also feel a little self conscious...
