Is Family Meal the Voltaggio restaurant that just closed? Or was that another one?

Love Family Meal in Frederick but not sure where that's located in relation to where you're trying to go. Great food for grown ups (owned by Bryan Voltaggio) and fun plates for kids.

There is two buffets in Thurmont. The before mentioned Cozy and the Mountain Gate. The Cozy has the better atmosphere but it's still a buffet and can get very crowded (however the iced raisin bread is delicious) Plus it's easy to get lost in the warren of small rooms. Chubby's is also very good. There is also the Shamrock but that can get expensive fast

I go with a group of kids every year to the Cosy - they love it!

Great suggestion, thanks. And they have a 12 and under menu which is nice.

Chubby's is right on 15. I think the staff is a little surly but if you like barbecue, it is a nice choice.

Hi. We're planning a ski/tubing trip to Ski Liberty with a handful of young boys. I'd like to have a plan for where to take them to eat afterward for an early dinner. Any suggestions for something along 270 or 15? I'm OK with a chain (CrackerBarrel?) but would prefer something a little more local and authentic. Nothing terribly expensive. We could eat at the ski resort but I was just hoping to break up the trip home with a stop for bite. Thank you!
