Just latching onto this - anyone have reccs in VA? We're in Arlington, but would travel (of course, less driving is better...)

We are right there with you, OP. I hear a lot about Alvord and Baker in Rockville. We couldn't travel that far so they very kindly recommended a few other names in NWDC. Good luck!!

Ditto on Ross Center. Dr. Adade has been helpful with our hard to diagnose child and CBT.

Ross Center for Anxiety in Friendship Heights. We like Julie Lewis. Our pediatrician had told us that anyone at Ross Center would be great.

Are you looking for CBT therapist?
That is where I started with my anxious son. He had a year of therapy and finally came to realization that he was too anxious to use the CBT tools regularly.
Then connected with child psychiatrist for meds--he takes Zoloft and he's so much happier.
Maybe start with therapist and see where that goes. Sorry I dont have a great suggestion for who since I'm in VA.
