It is how I pay for Christmas every year
+1
I didn't realize how much we relied on it til I had to switch jobs in October last year. The new SocSec deduction didn't take my prior contributions into account. Got it back at tax time, but boy was I missing it come the end of December.

Just remember that it will magically go back to normal in January.

My Social Security deduction went from $700 to $100 per pay period this month. Does this have something to do with exceeding the social security wage base? I received a raise earlier this year from $120,000 to $139,000. I will call HR, but it seems weird for something so automated to change. TIA
