I think the Cuisinart is the best, particularly for the price, but agree it splatters a bit more than its competitors. The KitchenAid has a slow start feature that reduces splashing. It is no quite as good at thicker things like dough, and it costs more. But if you hate the splatter, its probably your best bet.

If it splatters everywhere you're doing something wrong. Love my cuisinart and MIL loves the one we got her for Xmas a few years ago. You should use a deeper, narrower bowl.

Kitchenaid. Motor works great and it goes through really thick dough.

You can get a shield for your mixer and it stops a lot of the splatter.

I need a new hand mixer. Does anyone have any recommendations? We currently have a crusinart and really dislike it- it splatters everywhere.
