That would be a regift. Teachers don't make a lot. The last thing they are worried about is a new pair of earrings. Please stick to a gift card.

No, too personal and may be interpreted as a "regifting".

It's kind of personal for a teacher gift IMO, I say nay, but hey, she might love them! Definitely different.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess there are enough naysayers that I don't know how she'd take it. They are cute (IMO) and from Stella and Dot. Not high end gold or silver, but more expensive than what I normally give as a giftcard. Definitely not clearance, and yes I'd wear them myself. I guess I will be..

If there's a reason why you think this teacher would like these earrings, for example, because you notice her wearing something similar a lot, or you know she likes a particular stone, and if the posts are high quality enough in case she has allergies, then go for it.

I think no--but if they are something that you really think she would like, go for it. I taught school and I always appreciated gifts that were useful.

I am a teacher and have received jewelry before. I think it is a nice gesture since you picked it out for the teacher and it is not a regift. If possible, send a gift receipt and that way you don't need to worry if it is not her style. Either way, the teacher will be appreciative of any gift you choose to give her.

How old is the teacher and what kind of earrings? When I got jewelry from parents I always wondered if they were regifts or clearance items. Some wealthy families gave me stuff that I knew they would never be caught dead in.

Nay, unless you really know her style well.

Nice as long as her ears are pierced and they are real gold or silver as she could be allergic to cheap earrings.

That is a weirdly intimate gift, unless they are some sparkly snowman dangly glitter thing picked out by a five year old.

My vote is no.

Be bold, be different. Give the earrings.

I bought them awhile ago with her in mind, but now I'm chickening out because everyone does gift cards.
