Sport and Health has one at Tysons (decent, but just the distance to go around 2 basketball courts, so not even 800 meters), one at Baileys Crossroads (not in great shape the last time I was there), and one at Worldgate in Herndon (about 11 laps to a mile but the ends are too tight to really carry speed through).
Spring Hill Rec Center in McLean is getting one when their reno completes in a year and a half, but I don't know how long it is going to be.

A standard indoor track is 200m, or 8 laps in a mile (or 1600m which is slightly less than a mile). A standard outdoor track is 400m.

This rotten area has no tracks. It makes no sense. I used to live in an area that basically had one in every rec center and commercial gym. It would be so nice to run again when it is dark and/or cold.

I think MAYBE GMU might also have one, but I am not sure what you would have to do to use it.

You used to live in an area that either got extremely hot or extremely cold and where the commercial real estate isn't worth as much.

TJ is not a good track. Yes, it is indoors, but it is flat. Also you are dodging volley and basketballs and people not paying any attention.

The only one I am aware of locally is at Georgetown Prep and it's not open to the public. There is one at the PG Sportsplex at FedEx field that might have public times. There is also one in Hagerstown and I think at Howard Community College. My DC runs indoor track and they practice outside.

Not MC, but TJ Middle School just off of Rt 50 at Glebe in Arlington has a great indoor track.

Does anyone know where I can find one? I like in MC and can not run outside when it is cold, I would love to find an indoor place.
