Mine too. It is really sad. We are lucky in that we could care less what they do. I no longer send them a Christmas card. It in not worth our time.

Merry Christmas!

Generally all the females get one thing and all the males get something else. This year all the adult females are getting a robe, and all the men are getting dress socks.

Why not act like grown ups -you and cousin decide not to gift anything. Sometimes it's hard to believe adults are posting on this website.

I would love if he didn't give us his presents. Unfortunately we're Wasps, so nobody talks about anything. It's a miracle I grew out of it as much as I did. It would cause a huge family kerfluffle if I told him I wouldn't be giving him a gift from now on.

My kids grandmother does this. (My ex-mil). If they haven't spoken that much in a while, she'll get something small or leave them out completely.
If they've recently spent time with her she goes all out.

No I don't spend less, but if I find something perfect for someone I like I might splurge a little.

In general I will splurge if I see something that I really think is the perfect fit.

Do you give less to family members that you are fighting with or don't like? Meaning, you would normally spend X on a Christmas gift for someone but because you don't like this family member you go out of your way to find the cheapest gift you can for this person?

I know a couple of family members (one that does this to another family member and one that does this to my DH, myself, and our DD) that do this and I find it 1. odd and 2. annoying to buy gifts for them, particularly the one that does this to my family.
