It probably would have been great. I add a small amount of anchovy or fish sause to anything that needs a little more umami. Am making stew right now and threw an anchovy in when I was browning the onions. A few drops of fish sauce works wonders in tomato soup.

So I am making the traditional turkey gravy - I have made stock out of giblets, am planning to add flour to pan drippings etc...
But an earlier thread got me thinking - why not stir an anchovy or two in to the pan drippings for a little extra depth of flavor?
No one need ever know....
