Low iron absorption/ anemia. Common symptom is feeling cold. Get that level checked, OP.

It might be that that particular drug does not agree with you. I would mention it to your psychiatrist. Effexor made me feel like I had mild electric shocks zapping me on my arms and legs; it was very painful.

I had a virus like thing that lasted for months. I only registered a fever each time the whole thing blew up (about a month apart). The second time the fever broke, all symptoms went away, including night coldness and some dizziness.

Other options could be blood pressure (drops).

Weird - no, but I've been taking SSRI (Zoloft) preemptively for post-partum depression and wonder if I actually need to increase the dosage. But I wouldn't call it a "brain" shiver; really, it's mywhole body (or rather, pieces of my whole body at once). What feels weird to me is that I get the shivers right after I move my body. it's not necessarily too uncomfortable, just cold.

Hmm, maybe since you just started on it, your brain is still getting used to it? IF this is the only physical change you can earmark as having started around the same time as the body shivers, I'd check further into this. I hope it stops soon, too, once your body gets used to it! Kudos to you for being responsible for your mental health and trying to be poractive about things! Good luck!

Have you been coming off of Celexa or some other SSRI? These SSRI withdrawals cause what can only be described as brain shivers. It's like your whole brain sort of cringes and shakes inside your head for like one second. Some people also call then "brain zaps" or "brain shocks."

Seriously, though, this feels like more than just me being cold... some sort of internal infection? The last time I had this I happened to also have a bunch of blood work run and my ANA levels came out sky-high. But then it went away.

Oh and major detail I forgot to mention: I am 3 months post-partum. Don't think I have a thyroid issue though.

I am getting what I only know how to describe as "internal goosebumps" and chills in certain parts of my body. I notice it at night, especially when I move my body.

We've been keeping the house kinda cold at night- 64?- we just moved from a tropical country to a cooler one, and our house doesn't have heat.

Any idea of what this could be?
