I know a family that tried it for one year with high hopes that it would work for their child because they were struggling to pay tuitionl. It wasn't a good year.

Can you be more specific?

You might want to consider calling or emailing CM Olsin's office. I think his assistant lives in Riverdale Park and has some experience with Riverdale.

OP here. Thanks for the replies! You have to be a Riverdale Park resident to subscribe to Town Talk and we're just thinking of buying there. It's nice to know that resource exists, though.

I would recommend that you pull the schools report card and not rely solely on Great Schools. If you want to see the test score performance for 2013 you can go on the Maryland report card site.

You might try joining the listserv - Town Talk Riverdale.

Riverdale is very overcrowded right now, but you might look to see if that changes during the next boundary hearing which should be any day.

We are considering a house in Riverdale Park. The Great Schools rating isn't that high, but I know test scores aren't everything. Unfortunately, I can only find one parent review that is less than two years old and things can change over time. Does anyone have a child there now or know someone who does that could comment on their experience there?
