We are still planning to NJ Wed AM. Looks like mostly rain. Are we making a mistake?

We were supposed to drive to Cleveland tonight, holding off a final call tomorrow but it's not looking good. Is anyone going to venture the PA turnpike? Super sad to disappoint the grandparents...

Just cancelled our trip to Ohio. We couldn't leave until Wed morning due to work, and we don't want to risk driving through the WV or PA mountains--both routes we've taken in the past look bad.

I'm planning on driving near the Raleigh area too, but I'm thinking of leaving late Wednesday/ early Thursday around 1 or 2 am. Is this a good idea? Do you think there will be lots of traffic at that hour?

Were planning to leave 7pm Tues, headed north and west. Plan was to drive 4-5 hours in the evening with kiddo sleeping in the car, stop overnight then go the rest of the way.

Now we are thinking we'll try to get out closer to noon Tues.

Headed North or West--yeah, that's a problem! I'm really happy that we decided to skip driving to relatives in Central PA this year

Agreed. We we're going to Ohio to see the in-laws but cancelled. Would have been driving right into a mess.

We are not canceling, but I will be watching the weather. We had planned to leave on Wed afternoon, but may either leave later on Wed or perhaps Thursday morning if necessary. We are driving to Clifton Forge, VA, so I don't think it will be too bad for us.

We were planning to drive to the midwest, but just cancelled. Too dangerous b/c basically our entire driving route would mean driving into worse weather (icy, freezing rain, etc.). Very disappointed.

We are headed to Raleigh Durham and more and more are getting nervous that we're going to be driving into this awful storm. Is anyone else re-considering staying home this year?
