a) It's a really great cheese knife.
b) It's also the exact shape, heft, and function of a chef's knife, for preschool-size hands.
c) It's sharp enough to chop real food, but it's plastic, so it's not going to chop little fingers.
DS learned to chop carrots, celery, etc. with it sometime between 3 and 4. He loves cooking.
Ours just developed a nick in it after about 3 years of use. I'll be getting another one.
