In all my years of teaching - and having spent time in many schools - I only knew of two Muslim teachers. But yes, if my children had Muslim teachers, I would have recognized a Muslim holiday.
Did you give Kwaanza gift to black teachers? Or Diwali gift to Hindu teacher? How to pick up the appropriate religious Muslim holiday? Do you acknowledge Eid or Ramadan? Do you recognize sects? Shia or Sunni? How do you go and ask the teachers what religion they practice? I can't figure out who is Jewish many times? Should schools share this information?
Is Kwaanza for AA teachers or all black teachers?

TIA!
Hanukkah is not a major jewish holiday. It is not equal to Jews. Generally adults do not receive gifts like that for it. Stick with generic holiday thank you gift.
