Best pies in town once a year only sold at River Falls Seafood Market in Potomac Village. It may be too late to order them now but call there and ask what they suggest to get one of their pies.

Also the crust is in foil already, if it tastes bad, say it was one you bought.

Buy a frozen organic crust at whole foods. They have canned organic pumpkin (recipe on back) and a can of sweetened condensed milk. Add 2 eggs and nutmeg/cinamon. Recipe is on the can. There's only 5 ingredients, even I can do it. Try it maybe? Seems worth it if you are worrying.

Where would you suggest I buy pumpkin or pecan pie for Thanksgiving ? I would typically go to Whole Foods, but the recent thread on moldy bakery items at WF has made me reevaluate.
