I work near there and find District Commons and Founding Farmers interchangeable, though District Commons has a little more attitude which makes it worse for me. But it is slim pickings this way. If you are looking for something a little more downscale, Tonic works just fine, better prices and the food is fine, nothing you will rave about. There is also a place a little further away called Dish, at the River Inn I think (one of the small hotels nearby) that is quite good.

NOT at Primo Platti or whatever it is called. That place is terrible.

I was going to say District Commons or Founding Farmers. Those are kind of my go-tos before Kennedy Center shows. Tonic may be a good option as well.

Going to see Elvis Costello tonight! We're looking for a casual but good palce near GW to meet and have a quick dinner before the concert. We will drive and park so want it to be walking distance. Any ideas?
